Passage No.28


Once a king was going for hunting. He saw a pious man. Beside whom a dog was tied and he himself was sitting in happy mood. The king went to  him and  said by the way of joke “O man, in the eyes of God either you are superior or your dog”. The pious man replied respectfully, “ If we obey our Lord, we are superior and if we don’t then we are worst”. The old man’s reply left deep effect on the king. It is said that that ordinary incident brought a revolution in king’s life.



Passage No.29.


On the way I met an old woman. She was weeping bitterly. When I inquired the cause of her weeping, she spoke, her husband was indebted , he couldn’t pay his debt and had been arrested. There was none to earn living. Then that woman and her eight children were starving. I took pity on her. I gave her 5 rupees. Then I was left with little money. Yet I was satisfied that I would reach my kind friend’s house soon and there would be no inconvenience.



Passage No 30


A poor man was forced to beg. One of his friends advised him to visit a such and such rich man  who will help him. So one day he went to his doorstep early in the morning, there he sees him praying humbly outstretching his hands. He stood looking fixedly at him for few minutes. Then at once he wondered what benefit could be of begging from him. “ I’ll beg from Him, from Whom he is begging. He returned at once  and God gave him rid of poverty within no time.



Paragraph No. 31


Once Sultan Mahmud Ghaznavi was returning to his capital from the battlefield. A camel that was Laden with treasure slipped and all the golden coins scattered here and there. All his companions fell upon them like vultures but Ayaaz didn’t leave the company of the king. The king asked him “ Don’t you need golden coins?”. Ayaaz replied “  Sir to me your service is enough”. The loyalty and sincerity of Ayaaz left deep effect on king’s heart.

Paragraph No. 33



My father narrated an incident. He used to teach in Aligarh. It was during summer vacations that he came to village, at night during the course of conservation the confectioner of town was discussed. Father said to his friends “ This confectioner is too dishonest” . Father’s friends said “ Well, we shall tease him tomorrow”. In the morning all friends reached confectioner’s shop , bought sweets and began to eat. After some time the first friend spoke to shopkeeper “ Brother give me some water to drink and return the rest of money”. Confectioner asked “ What kind of money? Yet you haven’t given me any money”. The second friend spoke abruptly “ You are forgetting , I have given you ten rupee note”. Right at that moment, third friend spoke “ O brother, you have forgotten their note lest you should forget my note”.

 

Paragraph No. 34



One day our dear prophet khatam un Nabiyyeen Hazrat Muhammad P. B. U. H went on a journey with his companions and during the journey he saww asked his companions to roast the goat. One of the companions asked “  Ya Rasool Allah saww!  I shall slaughter the goat” The second one said “ I’ll prepare its meat” . The third one offered himself for service. The leader of the Ummah said “ I’ll fetch wood from forest”. The companions of Holy Prophet P.B.U.H said “ Ya Rasool Allah ! We are available”. He saww said “ Well, but I do not like to sit separately with distinction”  God doesn’t like if someone tries to distinguish himself from his companions.

 

Paragraph No. 35.


One day our dear Holy Prophet P. B. U H was taking rest under the tree. Suddenly an enemy happened to come there with a sword in his hand. He advanced silently and cried “ Tell me, who will save you from my hand?”. Hazoor saww smiled and said “ My God”. The enemy began to tremble with fear. His sword fell from his hand. He saww picked up the sword and said “My God saved me, now who would save you?”. The infidel said shuddering “ The sword is in your hand , you can save me if you want”. The holy Prophet P.B.U.H said “ The God Who saved me from your hands, why couldn’t He save you”.

 

Paragraph No. 36



A man  went to the shoe-shop and demanded a pair of shoes. The servant of shopkeeper displayed  him many pairs of shoes. At last he chose a pair of shoes. After deciding the price he asked him to pack them. When the customer checked his pocket. He was short of money by one rupee. He said “ I am carrying the shoes with me and I’ll pay money within no time”. The servant said “ Very good  sir”. When the customer had gone having got the shoes , the owner scolded to the servant that he was fool. Why should he take pains to pay the rest of money. The servant replied “Not only he but his father will also come because I have packed both shoes of same foot”.
